An Inspiration From You
Finally I am unafraid to say your name,
And with it comes not only happiness,
But sadness.
Because I am unsure on what you shall say—
If you push away what you know,
Or destroy the things I have given you.
Since I was just a little child,
No more than three or four
I have been unable to show my love.
For the death of the first I cared for
Crippled many years to come
And nothing, but a bitter ache
Filled my childhood heart.
Not once have I cried,
No emotion do I feel as I speak cruelty.
Which spread from my lips
To the friends around,
How could it be you?
So pure and good,
And you don’t even know what’s in store
For the existence I call your life
Sweet girl,
What can you say to me as the rain pours,
Down upon my head
Cleansing the sins of my past.
I have never seen the good,
Within my own hands,
And have never known the love
Within my dead soul—
Just stay with me?
For now what shall I write?
