Do You Love the Dark?

Watch the stars overhead,
Let their power engulf you
Within their graceful light.
As I see my time die,
And hold its hand sinking into my grave.
I keep wondering why it was me that went,
Into a tragic space among my people today.
Meaning has no thoughts
In a place of virtues where I am
A master in words
Of land, which lives in fantasy—
And tales of fairies and goblins.
This is my place of dreams,
Where I dance a Celtic dance
As a warrior from the field,
With a sword dripping in sparrow blood
And my desires into a dripping pain,
Upon my ruined head—today.
