Eden's Road

As I walk this winding road
My eyes lose sight of you
But unlike before, I can still see your face
Shining brighter as the dark becomes stronger
Cascading colors of blue, red and purple
Retreat from your sensual beauty
Taking refuge in a limpid presence
Nothing shall comfort me more
Than the calmness of birds singing,
Singing like a church choir
Telling wondrous aspects of you
And implementing words of truth and wisdom
About your face so fair
You helped me walk this road
With your beauty and peace
For tranquility would be unforgiving
Without your sweet Eden to guide me
On this wandering road
