It's Not Up To Me

Whenever I look at the stars,
A destiny never known fills my still beating lungs.
Now that I have seen that light,
How do I estimate where fortune shall turn me now?
Staring is my only way to understand
How much you’ve meant to me.

Even death can’t break me down,
For I have a stronger will than any before—
Believe in my abilities to achieve,
And the entire world will believe in me.
Priests shall fall before the alter,
Warriors shall drop their bloody swords in the heat of battle,
And world leaders shall stutter in though
As I lay my hand upon the heavens.

I’ve only begun to understand my potential,
That power within me to strive...
With my ability to unite man,
Just beginning to bloom in your eyes.

For now I have seen what I am in you,
And I can’t imagine living a life of nothingness
Without you by my side.
