Just That Day

Love may just be a feeling,
But that smile
Shows me so much more.
The rain begins to pour,
And you just laugh harder
As you dance in the puddles.
No one has ever given me so much
In just one thought,
A flash I wish could last forever
In my heart.
The rain beads off your face,
And your clothes are already soaked—
But you still pull me closer.
As a final thought runs through,
“Why me?”–
Then its over as we kiss,
Our first time
Making the world around fade
Leaving the pattering of rain at our feet.
