Life Most Often Taken

I search for strength
In the actions I take,
In the people I laugh with,
In all the things I do.

Even as the world surrounds me
With things of the flesh
I must be strong
I must turn away.

Does it mean I abandon life
And pass away all that comes before my eyes.
No!
It means I have chosen
True life,
The path of eternity
Where my enjoyment comes.
