My Will Shall Never Die

You dream of clouds and sands of white,
In the open pool,
Her cool heart lies—
Among cherry blossom trees
Newly fallen from springtime’s dreams.

This is her retreat,
The world she keeps in her mind.
What is in her youth
Is her ultimate crime
Which locks her in this world?

How powerful to watch her gaze,
And her brother the moon, smile in a moonlit craze.
For my will shall never die,
When I have you to watch me here
In Eden’s place—?

Where hearts are at bay...
