Smaller, But Stronger

Too small to see the world for what it is,
As so many things are strange to you.
Children to the heartless
And the only hopeful soul near me.
Tragedy can break a family,
But never heart strong enough
To stand above all other things.

As was the world once shed in darkness,
So are those hearts fearful of the unknown—

But in one moment,
Where love’s only thought
Can shed light on an unseen soul.
