The Unknown

In the night a pale presence watches,
Holding to the bright stars above
Here is existence
Among the black of night.

Moon glistening in the night sky,
How beautiful as it shines.
Nothing like it exists on Earth,
Because its beauty
Outlines the heavens,
With Orion and Pegasus in close guard.

Now to be and then to say,
How to know what will be—
In this moonlit gaze.
