The Words of My Voice

Published on Feb 24, 2023

Not too old to say I love you,
Never too tired to show you that your mine—
Just one moment
To give this all to you
And yet still so much more.

My time can only be measured by a kiss,
And the gentle motions
That escape your eyes.
I can be nothing more,
Than a man who loves you
For all these reasons and more.

We come to a double road,
One side both of us are close—
Yet the other is determined
To see us go our separate ways.
But I will not grow weary,
Nor shall I falter among this universe—
My plight shall see your face.
Know those eyes,
And hold you delicately in my arms
As the wind begins to blow.
