This Day

The darkened thoughts cover this place,
And so many tears have spread over all.
But a light only you have given,
Brighten my heart within.

Desperate like the moon,
And youthful like the sun—
My heart shall look upon you
As this faith brings me to an untouched memory.

Who you are this day,
Makes the sky churn black—
Stormy pathetic and purgatory inside
A part of this,
That no one has peeked at.

So give me all I need to trust you,
For all my faith is within you
