What Does Not Make Me

Published on Sep 24, 2002

If life shall torment me,
Than why cannot I torment life...?
Should time be passed
And not attempted to be caught,
In ones open hand.
Truly no other like you has taken so much,
Destroyed love in my heart—
And churned mostly unwanted desires
In my minds only known memories.

Could we try again,
For we both deserve it,
And none of us can defy the facts
That love was all we had in the day
And untamed passions—
Under the moons watchful eye.

May I be the same again in my dreams,
Or maybe so that this pain I know—
Will fade with another’s soul.
