Natures Child

The beast of wars,
Make the childish nature of men
Scurry about among the wings
Of Death’s open limbs.
Desperate of their darkest times,
And knowing their fate is set
Among all things that pass their gaze.
Time is but a device to the weak,
To gauge the length of their escape
From the hands of the strong.

Isn’t but life an escape from Death?
With time against us at every turn—
No matter how long the escape
Time is but a second way
To our ultimate end,
That we cannot escape.

Next Door

Shall we both walk among our deeds,
Within so many shallow dreams—
Of days that have gone past.
And others that have not come to pass.

Love can be ours, a destiny—
Where we can live in life’s special face.
And I’m ready to spend the rest of my life
With you.
For I live without a doubt—
That you are my girl,
Who my heart is crazy for.

Life Has Not Made a Way

When will the watching see an end,
As I do wish for a better place than this.
You are the light,
An angel to guide those through the dark.
What will wash these troubles away?
What shall bleed this pain from me?
In the eye of my destiny—
I do see truth in only these visions
Of a women grand in beauty,
But stronger than all in her mind.
A challenge to take this world
Strip it bear of all its impurities.

Make it what is supposed to show,
Lives and love to everyone
But such a dream

You Were What I Pictured

You were the bastard of the bunch,
Born without a sense of wrong or right
Like the rest of your family already knew.
But still your soul still yearns to try
Unfortunate to know
Or understand that your wrongs,
Are harmful to those around.

On and on it goes,
Wrapped around times little finger
Like a captured animal
Unable to see freedom from captivity.
Oh so unfortunate—
To your weak heart
Whose laughter has faded
From the all encompassing light
It once was.

To this I say ado,

Loss to Love

I was there when you fell from me,
In so many ways I could never believe.
Loved you with every fiber that I was—
Knew the scent you wore,
The way you tied your hair
And what made you smile when you were sad.
Just moments I had of you,
That day, that now seems years past
To touch you skin,
Hold hand in hand our lives.
Now it must be told,
A piercing arrow has struck us both
Down and around this nightly horror.
You were with me,
And I can’t stop thinking of you.

Laid With Love

My dreams begin to fade,
As the gentle touch of rain
Washes over my face.
And you are still in my arms
With me wondering the future before us.

How did we meet,
In a bar or was it during my wandering madness’—
Strange that my greatest loves first moments
Seems to be gone from my minds eye.

Do you know what I first said to you,
Or how your hair smelled of violets.
Those deepest memories I held so precious
Now only have fallen from me.

Here I lay with my love,
Til time tears us apart—

Journey To Me

Who am I to tread this great divide,
To hope when my chance to shine—
Shall implode on this long day
That like thousands of others have passed
But in this moment
Where am I meant to be.

Those who have their place
So set and understanding of their path.
Should never themselves understand
Who or what they were meant to be—

But what makes me search through
Such imperfections,
Only to stride on hopeless depths
That only break me more—
To know my love is gone,
My life is lost
To my wandering divide.
