Poem

Hope for Tomorrow

Mar 17, 2002 Memory of Mine
How many days is it til’ tomorrow?
Can I stay here til’ then?
Bring forth my cup and chair,
So that I might sip and partake in sadness.
The only part of my life—
That I know God gave to me.
Shatter that incandescent light,
Bringing me my dear sweet bread—
And tell thine lover, to wait for you in heaven’s mouth
For my return from hells undoubting shout.
