Poem

A Religious Man

Mar 17, 2002 Memory of Mine
When darkness falls upon the ground,
Shallow graves will rise.
Upon my back I carry the breathe of life;
I have seen what they call hatred,
And known persecution in all its forms.
What is your wish?
To Oberon’s lost eye—
As a day in passions place
Now that death is here,
Watch my head drop in its wake.
For not even the everlasting spirit,
Can give me back what was lost in great sadness.
